Baja International Tourist Cup - Results & Records

 In 2022 Eric Wilson, a veteran Irish Road Racer with many Isle of Mann starts broke his previous year's record with a blistering 4 minute 43 second lap of the nearly 10 mile Baja International Tourist Cup circuit in Tecate with an AVERAGE speed of over 126 miles per hour! His steed was an Obsession Engineering prepared BMW S1000R motorcycle. 

 In 2024 Randy Bander won the event overall on a Middleweight 3 cylinder Triumph motorcycle with an average time over 3 laps of 17 minutes 40 seconds. Who is this mystery man?

Fastest overall at the 2023 event was the madman Wade Boyd of San Francisco, California on a Yamaha R1 with a crazy 5 minute 17 second lap of the nearly 10 mile circuit. Do the math and you know he's traveling like a rocket.

In 2022 Eric Wilson returned to beat his previous year's record with a 4'43" lap of the nearly 10 mile temporary road circuit in Tecate, Baja California Norte, Mexico. 

Erik is a veteran of numerous road races in Ireland and the Isle of Man.

In 2022 the top three competitors all did a sub 5 minute lap of the nearly 10 mile Baja International Tourist Cup temporary road circuit in Tecate. All rode BMW S1000RR motorcycles. Absolutely amazing, Gentlemen! Top three finishers:

 Our first running of the Baja International Tourist Cup was won overall by Eric Wilson - a veteran Irish Road Racer. He adds this victory to his long resume of road races. We really enjoyed having him at the race - a true gentleman. His FOUR lap race of the 10 miles circuit took 20'20" -  a full 27 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor and an astonishing speed considering he had never seen the road before.  

In 2021 the top five finishers of the FOUR lap race were:

4) Wade Boyd - 22'00"
