We're excited to announce that we have the enthusiastic support of the beautiful town of Loreto to hold a hill climb competition on a 20km (12.5 mile) section of the paved twisty road that climbs the mountains east of town and ends at the historic San Javier Mission. Loreto is a beach town on the sparkling Sea of Cortez and a popular vacation destination. Loreto is about a two day journey south of the US Border but worth the trip. We will also have a number of rental race motorcycles available if you wish to fly in and race. You can also have us transport your race vehicle to the event for you. Treat yourself to the ultimate racing vacation! Open to motorcycles, cars, quads, side cars!
This promotional video from last year's scouting expedition will give you a good feel for the new San Javier Hill Climb.

There are regular commercial flights from the USA and Tijuana (TIJ) into the Loreto International Airport (LTO). If you're traveling from the United States you have two good options:
1) American Airlines has regular direct flights into Loreto (LTO) that connect in Phoenix, Arizona (PHX). https://www.aa.com/
2) You can fly on Volaris Airlines out of Tijuana (TIJ) direct to Loreto (LTO) on most days of the week. https://www.volaris.com/ Thursday the 3rd and Saturday the 5th do not currently have flights but all other days around the event seem to be avaliable at this time. This is typically the cheapest flight option. There is a dedicated pedestrian bridge called the "CBX" with customs that crosses the US border directly into the Tijuana Airport that is very convenient and easy to use. You can catch a regular shuttle van from the San Diego Airport to the CBX: https://www.crossborderxpress.com/en/
If you're flying from outside of the USA you have many more options to explore and will most likely want to fly to Mexico directly from your country of origin and bypass the USA's currently oh so lovely customs officials.
See a link to Volaris below.
Loreto is a beautiful vacation desitination and tourist attraction so there are plenty of hotels and rental houses available. For hotels we recommend:
1) We recommend the luxurious and convenient La Mision Hotel. It has a great waterfront location, pool and excellent food. They have a large secure lot behind the hotel for parking your rig if needed. They are on the expensive side but they also tend to book up fast so reserve now! La Mision Loreto Hotel
2) A less expensive and perfectly decent hotel is the Hotel Santa Fe Loreto. They don't have secure space for a big tow vehicle. https://hotelsantafeloreto.com/
3) For the true rough and ready racer your event entry fee entitles you to free camping at our event base facility that is just outside town at the start of the hill climb. It is a secure walled residential compound located here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/g11A7m9NbDVUshm76 Contact us if interested in camping in your vehicle or with a tent.
4) You can search the VRBO https://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/mexico/baja-california-sur/loreto and AirBnB https://www.airbnb.com/loreto-mexico/stays home rental websites for numerous options in Loreto
5) Enjoy golf and really want to live it up? Why not stay a week and make it a golfing and racing vacation. They are a bit outside of the town but Loreto Bay Resort, https://www.loretobayresort.com/en/ , and the even more extravagant Villa del Palmar, https://villadelpalmarloreto.com/ , are both fantastic places to stay.
The City of Loreto is being extremely supportive of our event. We have arranged for a lot of official law enforcement support for safety and closing of the road. We will also have a ceremonial start on the beachside "Malecon" road in the center of town. Let's put on a good show for the friendly folks in Loreto. They're excited to have us!
The road to the San Javier Mission snakes up the steep coastal mountains into the interior of the Penisula affording fanatasic views. The road is a joy to ride or drive and what better way to enjoy it than fully closed down with the support of race staff, law enforcement and medical personnel? Don't miss the unique opportunity! Check it out on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/NcNhuEGF4hS77wWY7
The entry fee is only $500 for Motorcycles and $700 for cars. The rules posted indicate $750 but that has since been discounted to the rates posted here. We will request a refundable* 50% deposit to secure your spot.
