Loreto is a beautiful vacation desitination and tourist attraction so there are plenty of hotels and rental houses available. For hotels we recommend:
1) – La Mision Hotel – We recommend the luxurious and convenient La Mision Hotel. It has a great waterfront location, pool and excellent food. They have a large secure lot behind the hotel for parking your rig if needed. They are on the expensive side but they also tend to book up fast so reserve now! La Mision Loreto Hotel
2) Stay on the Beach! We recommend the Hotel Oasis if you want something less expensive walking distance from the heart of town and on the beach: https://www.hoteloasis.com/
3) A reasonably priced and nice hotel is the Hotel Santa Fe Loreto. They are not near the beach but the location splits the hill climb start and in town events which is convenient. https://hotelsantafeloreto.com/
4) For the true rough and ready racer we may be able to arrange for free camping at one of our rental properties. Contact us if interested in camping in your vehicle or with a tent.
5) You can search the VRBO https://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/mexico/baja-california-sur/loreto and AirBnB https://www.airbnb.com/loreto-mexico/stays home rental websites for numerous options in Loreto
6) Enjoy golf and really want to live it up? Why not stay a week and make it a golfing and racing vacation. They are a bit outside of the town but Loreto Bay Resort, https://www.loretobayresort.com/en/ , and the even more extravagant Villa del Palmar, https://villadelpalmarloreto.com/ , are both fantastic places to stay.
If you choose to drive or ride to Loreto it will take you at least two days from the US Border. Getting there is pretty straight forward but make sure you do your research for your travel plans. If you wish we will have a caravan of cars/truck departing the morning of Tuesday April 21st from Tecate, CA with a planned arriveal in Loreto on the evening of Wednesday April 22nd. The Caravan will depart Loreto on Sunday April 26th and should arrive in the USA on the evening of Monday April 27th. Please contact us if you wish to join our caravan and we’ll send you details.
The City of Loreto is being extremely supportive of our event. We have arranged for a lot of municipal support for safety and closing of the road. The local police, fire department, paramedics and volunteer corps are all volunteering their time. We will also have a ceremonial start on the beachside “Malecon” road in the center of town. Let’s put on a good show for the friendly folks in Loreto. They’re excited to have us!
The entry fee for the San Javier Hill Climb is $750. We will request a refundable* 50% deposit to secure your spot.
